Adrian R Baxter

Adrian R Baxter is a debut novelist based in Reading, UK, whose lifelong passion for fantasy literature has culminated in Breach Protocol, an urban fantasy thriller that bridges classic genre storytelling with contemporary sci-fi sensibilities.

Growing up reading Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar saga and Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Adrian developed a deep appreciation for immersive world-building and protagonists who face impossible odds. Breach Protocol channels that same spirit—combining the wonder of hidden magical worlds with the grit of urban fantasy and the edge of hard science fiction.

As a late-diagnosed autistic person, Adrian brings a unique perspective to character development and world-building, with particular attention to how people navigate complex systems and find their place in extraordinary circumstances.

When not writing about interdimensional threats, Adrian can be found following the Seattle Mariners (with varying degrees of optimism), in the company of two cats named Summer and Mish, or exploring the fantasy genre's endless possibilities.
